Make a graveyard cake! Buy a devil's food boxed cake mix (Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, etc.). Bake the cake and cover with chocolate frosting. Sprinkle crumbled Oreo cookies on the cake (scrape out the creme first) to make the "dirt". Create ghosts out of marshmallows(Add eyes and mouth with a tube of cake decorator's gel.). Dollops of whipped creme work well too. Place the ghosts around the cake. Insert Vienna wafers into the cake for tombstones. For added effects make a fence out of licorice or thin pretzel sticks. Add other candies if you like to "spook" up your cake! Use your imagination and have a very happy Halloween!

I have some ideas that are cool but aren't recipes. Get some latex surgical gloves and fill them with water and tie them off. Place them on a cookie sheet sprinkled with cornmeal (so the gloves don't stick). After they are frozen, peel off the glove. Float them in your punch bowl. Do the same with a clear Halloween mask. Just tape up the eyes, nose and mouth. It looks like a ghostly face starring back at you from the punch bowl. Hope this helps.

Harvest Moon Lollipops:
These make a perfect party project for kids. (Help younger children insert the lollipop sticks.) Arrange lollipops in a container filled with florist foam for an impressive centerpiece, or wrap individually in cellophane and give as party favors.
Materials:
12 (10- to 12-inch-long) lollipop sticks
1 (24-ounce) package Chocolate Flavor MoonPies
1 (14-ounce) package orange candy melts
1 zip-top plastic bag
Scissors
Wax paper
Halloween candies
Halloween sugar cake decorations
Decorator icing
Ribbon (optional)
Step 1: Insert 1 lollipop stick 2 to 3 inches into marshmallow center of MoonPie.
Step 2: Microwave candy melts in a glass bowl at MEDIUM (50% power) 1 minute or until melted, stirring once; spoon into plastic bag, and seal.
Step 3: Snip a small hole in 1 corner of the bag; pipe melted candy around where stick meets MoonPie to secure. Lay flat on wax paper, and let stand until firm.
Step 4: Pipe fun border of melted candy around edges. Attach candies and/or cake decorations with decorator icing. Tie ribbons around tops of sticks, if desired.
Yield: 1 dozen

make some shortbread cookie dough. Shape them into finger shapes, slash a few lines with a knife to make knuckle lines. Press an blanched whole almond into the "finger tip" to make a nail. Bake as usual. Remove the almond, pipe in a little red food gel into the "nail bed" and then push almond back down. The food gel will act as a "glue" for the almond. These really look like witches fingers and turn out nice.

Cemetery cake. Make your favorite cake in a 13x9x2 pan. Take white icing and add green food color to make a green grass shade, ice the cake. Use Milano cookies to make headstones. Put gummy worms in and around the cemetery. I take the cookie parts of Oreos to make dirt, pile it up in spots like a freshly dug grave, lay in in other spots as they have just buried a coffin etc.
Eyes and Guts
Cook 1 lb of Spaghetti drain and let cool
peel a bunch of grapes
1/2 cup any type of oil, vegetable olive etc
Combine everything together in a large bowl
Blindfold your guests and have them put their hand in the bowl and then tell them " so how do the guts and eyes feel" Most people will get weired out.

I did this last year: You nee dough...walnuts...and jel-o.
roll the dough until it looks like a finger. At the top of the dough put a sliced walnut to make it look like a finger. Then add jel-o around it and it will look like a slice finger. Make little blood marks all around the dough. Bake in oven on 450 and let it stay in there for 7 minutes.
