this maybe a bit confusing to explain, but anyway here goes.
I have two seperate pictures open in the photoshop and need to put them together in the same picture, as if side by side. An for example of, like the andy warhol pictures.

You can either enlarge the canvas of one them to the size needed to fit them both on or make a new picture that size and drag them both onto it.

1) Open those two pictures, say Picture 1 and Picture 2, that you want to put together.
2) Click Image>Image Size to find out the sizes of each picture.
3) Click File>New and for size of the picture, make it the sum of the two pictures. For example, your two pictures are 150x30 and 200x400. The picture size would be (150+200=350)x (30+400=430).
4) Go to Picture 1, select the retangular marquee tool and select the area of Picture 1 that you want combine with the Picture 2. Once it is selected, go to Edit>Copy. Go to the New Picture and paste it there.
5) Repeat step 4 for Picture 2.
6) Now, you will have both Picture 1 and Picture 2 in the New Picture. Select Move Tool and move the pictures in New Picture to your liking. Save it.
