Yes, I believe it God. But, no, no responsible person should have an answer for this question. Why? Because every last one of us is atrociously unprepared to evaluate the system (here, the universe) and, as such, can not present an evaluation what is wrong with the system.
If I were, for example, to say "less suffering" (which was tempting), I could easily overlook that there may well be value to suffering that I don't fully comprehend.
Good question, though!

Tough question. Did God know all there was to know in the beginning? Was this a learning experience for him too?
It's tough for me to answer this question because I am working on my knowledge in retrospect. I suppose I would have done most things about the same, but with a few more personal appearances to cut down on the Faith vs. Faith blood shed.

You know people who don't believe in God are going to answer simply because you told them not to. But now, I won't pretend I'm God but I wish I could literally talk to him. I don't interpret signs all that well so I miss a lot of things he wants to tell me.

Putting ones self in place of God is highly not recommended, that is what satan tried to do, and why he was exiled to earth, and why we have evil lurking everywhere, Satan was filled with Greed, God does not make mistakes, God does not sin.
God is a perfect being, and you better believe it, just think how comlex we are, and the universe around us, that was NO MISTAKE.

When I inspired people to write the bible I would have been clearer and used less analogy and parable to get my points across. I probably also would have made a stronger case for a separation of church and state than that whole confusing Render unto Caesar that which is Caeser thing.

I would have not warned anyone when I had the great flood and started from scratch in creating a better world. No Noah's Ark. No Rainbows. No Earth. A new Earth which would be in heaven so I wouldn't have to hide.

I don't have to believe to accept the hypothetical.
I would have used my omnipotence to give humans free will while still not making it possible for them to sin. Or I'd have simply not created hell at all, and created a time of purification for all humans, so that I would lose none of my precious children, while still making sure that all wrong and evil is repaid in justice.

I could never figure out why God put satan on the earth to tempt mankind in the first place. I would have put him in an empty world somewhere.
