A paper bag is your best bet....Try to keep refrigerated in the non-humid drawer (most fridges have settings that you can change the humidity factor, the dryer, the better) They should stay fresh this way, up to a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. When they get slimey, it's prob time to throw them out. It also depends on what kind of mushrooms you have. GL! Happy healthy eating!

Loose mushrooms are best in a paper or damp cloth bag in your refrigerator. Unopened packages store well in the refrigerator but, once the film wrap has been removed, store in the same way as you store loose mushrooms. Your mushrooms will breath better and stay firmer longer with this attention. Handle them with care, though, because fresh mushrooms bruise easily. In your refrigerator, expect them to stay good and tasty for several days

We usually use a brown paper bag. Plastic makes them slimy, and not using a bag at all will dry them up and make them 'crinckly'--not good! I've had good luck with the paper sack.
