Try Himalayan Goji Juice. I have a friend in his 60's that has had Chron's for years, plus he also has leukemia .
He has tried everything.
He was overdosing on his pain meds and was considering suicide due to the pain. His brother worked with a guy that was a distributor of Himalayan Goji Juice and bought a bottle for him. Immediatley he noticed his pain went away. He has been taking this juice for 4 months now and has reduced his meds to half of what was actually prescribed. He is gaining weight for the first time in years. And he actually goes out now. (Before he was so miserable that he hated to leave his house). He was still taking his meds to control his diarrhea with the Goji and he actually ended up so constipated that he had to go to the hospital to get flushed out. So his doctor was able to pull him off his diarrhea meds for the first time since he was diagnosed. Also, he recently had his blood work done, and the doctor said that he has never seen my friends blood look so good.
Himalayan Goji juice is perfectly safe for pregnant women. In fact, it helps relieve a lot of pregnancy discomforts (i.e. morning sickness).

Please don't take anything without consulting with your doctor - not even "natural" or "herbal" things. Many of these shouldn't be taken when you are pregnant.
It seems that most people go into remission when pregnant - luckily I did. My pains didn't return (with a vengence) until I was around 36 weeks.
Pain is hard to control anyway with Crohn's. Add to the fact that you are pregnant and it severely limits the actions you may take. You may have to see a pain management specialist for other types of pain relief. But please do talk with your doctor first. It is also very important that your OB/GYN and Crohn's doc to work together with you.
For more moral support and ideas, go to www.healingwell.com and visit the forums. There are many, many people there from all over the world who have CD. They are great to have as a support group.
Good luck and please see your doc ASAP.

Prednisone 40 mg- sometimes this dose is best taken all at once
Tylenol # 3 or 4 (codeine)
SOME cases require Cylosporine
You have a serious disease. It is a serious Auto-Immune Disease. Your body attacks itself . The severest cases 2.5 potassium levels(nrmal is 5.0-5.5) (2.5 and lower could cause a heart attack), fevers all the time, exterme pain all the time, weakness, severe loss of blood (dark blood clot type blood) to the point of severe anemia (hemoglobin at 8)
Keep an eye on things You are at risk for purforation of the intestine, toxic mega colon, extreme loss of blood, severe potassium loss, etc
Talk to your Gastroenterologist
about seeing a pain management specialist
An Anesthesiologist who specializes in pain medicine.
TYLENOL # 3 OR #4 WILL DEFINITELY HELP YOU, as long as the disease isn't soo inflamed and ulcerated that you have to be hospitalized. In that case you would need the strongest stuff.
Look into CODEINE. BUT your situation is a little different because you are pregnant.
Intestines respond well to Codeine.
you can e-mail me if you want and I can give you the number of some pain management specialists RIGHT AWAY.

Ok, I'm not really sure why people are recommending that you take prednisone and tylenol #3 when you are pregnant. I'd talk with your doctor about what would be best for you to take for pain. Was your disease under control before the pregnancy?

Try peppermint and chamomile tea to relax your muscles. Enteric coated fish oil capsules help relieve inflammation and provide essential fatty acids. Glutamine (one teaspoonful with each meal) is good for the gut.. Aloe vera juice is another natural remedy for GI tract ailments. Probiotics and digestive enzymes also help relieve UC and Crohn's symptoms. Homeopathic remedies are safe for pregnant women if prescribed by a licensed homeopath. Clear anything you decide to take with your doctor first!
Good luck!
