Well if you cheat then you don't learn anything, which has long term effects if you think about it. Say someone cheats through out their entire time in highschool, well this person if not going to learn how to be able to critically think of focus. So when he graduates he's not going to be able to make it through college, or if he gets a job he's not going to be able to obtain a good paying job. He might be able to get something like construction of something b/c he doesn't know much. Kids think what u learn in school is a waste, but in all reallity it isn't. You will use it in real life in many situations which I cannot list b/c I'll be here all day. People that cheat contribute to the stupification of our society. People back in the day were able to do mathamatic calculations in their mind, but in our current society thats a joke. Think about it.

I don't believe anything I am seeing up above! I think that is regurgitated behavior your teachers instill in you. Here is the thing with cheating. Sometimes you have people who just don't care to get a bad grade. And then you have people who that is all they live for. Take for instance. If you like good grades you are going to do the best thing to find that knowledge of that test. Now It could be viewed as cheating but when you realize the answer to the question and it helps you understand it and you can take the test all day long and explain it backwards and forwards then is it ultimately cheating? You know it better than it was instructed and you might have just had an issued with an instructors point of view. Personally was always slow in grasping the bigger picture however when I would cheat I can still remember what tests I cheated on and explain them better than the teacher. LOL

When your friends insist that it's an easy way to get a good grade, they're not really answering the question of whether it's ethical or not. You should tell them as much, and rephrase the question -- Is it ethical to get a good grade by cheating? If they still say yes, insist on an explanation -- WHY is it ethical?
Perhaps you should remind them that to cheat means to swindle, practice fraud, lie, deceive... ask them to explain how it is okay to do that.
Obviously, I feel it's completely wrong.

well actually you are only hurting yourself.. cause in the real world their isnt gonna be the smart kid in class you can cheat off of but i guess it can get irritating for the person who actually did the work while your doing nothing and still passing.

My professor said when you make english composition, you should white as simple as posible.
I don't know why there are lots of the words in the SAT which I can't see in my major courses in the senior college.
I didn't see those words in college level english composition textbooks.
I don't know why?

It is a way to get a good grade... a dishonest way that could get you expelled or a failing grade.
