"Drink liquor before beer and you're in the clear, but drink beer before liquor and you've never been sicker."

I think it is for some. Personally I've never gotten sick when I started off with beer and switched to liquor. I guess it can also depend on your tolerance too maybe. I'm a heavyweight and it takes a lot to effect me so maybe I just haven't had enough to test that phrase.

It's a short term solution. Liquor before beer, in the clear would help you not get sick that night. When you drink a lot of beer, you tend to get full and bloated, add liquor on top of that and you're in trouble. But as far as tomorrow morning is concerned, it really only matters how much you had, not the order in which it was consumed. You're best bet is to stick with one or the other for the night.

I've never heard the saying, so I don't know what you are referring to. I know a few individuals that go for the liquor first so they can get a quick buzz and then maintain it with beer. The idea is to be happy and not have a major hangover as if you stuck with just liquor. By the time you have drank enough beer to get the same quantity of alcohol, you could be too full and miserable.

I haven't run into any problems with either liquor before beer or beer before liquor. My body metabolizes alcohol a lot differently than most - so I pee it out in about 2 hours.

Not at all true - it's all about how much alcohol you consume and the sugar content. Dark liquors and wine will make you sicker. Vodka, beer and sake are best.

HAHAHA yea!! In my experience. I would rather not mix them though on any case!!! But if you must indulge...than go liquor before beer!

Cheers!

Not even a little bit. We disproved this theory in college and it was a total bust. However, pina colodas and mudslides before whiskey and scotch does make for a bad day

Not true. It's all in the amount and time frame consumed.
