I would seriously consider taking money from a televangelist, but never giving it. What a waste that would be.

shlomogon, I've tried the link twice and it's no longer available. :(
And the televangelist question?
I'd rather stick red hot needles in my eyes. They're predators. They prey on fear and the feeble mind.
The whole televangelist industry turns my stomach. Pat Robertson being the one who makes my skin crawl the most. To this day I simply cannot believe that a man calling himself a Christian would consider assassinating the leader of a neighboring nation. It begs the question, "Who would Jesus assassinate?"
Sick. Sick and twisted.

No, but i think it is amazing that people do. I can understand people giving money to their church there are expenses to cover, but these guys on TV are getting rich off them.
How do these people not see it? What do churches tell their clergy about this?
I'm an atheist and I truly wonder how people talk themselves into trusting the guys on TV.
Again, I understand going to church and having the beliefs and even giving to your church, but why the televangelists? insane

i began out going to the UU this summer season. specific definitely anybody would understand you, notwithstanding in simple terms out of being friendly & make you think approximately comfortable. They positioned on become conscious of tags & visitors are asked to positioned on a yellow one so human beings will say hi to you. there is not any longer any rigidity in any understand. UU are an excessively liberal bunch. & assume curious human beings to return & sit down down interior the lower back. The service is an hour. A bell is rung to start, A challis is lit. there's a piano participant & sing a pair of songs. they have a time call joys & sorrows wherein they pass a mike around & enable human beings talk. The minister could probable talk approximately issues like dying with dignity or the plight of the homeless vets or perhaps why human beings are compelled as to what the UU represents. The plate is exceeded. additionally that is not any longer continually the minister, consistent human beings giving the service. on the actual you will have the skill to hold close out & have a donut or in simple terms go away. they are non-judgmental of your thought. i'm pagan & the conventional guy I talked to become as quickly as an atheist. See you there!
