Goose sandwich? UGH! If you said turkey or chicken, then I would say a pasta salad and some chips. But goose-GAG!

try these potato and vegetable dishes

kicked up potatoes
INGREDIENTS
10 pounds potatoes, peeled
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
2 cups butter
DIRECTIONS
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes; cook until tender but still firm. Drain, and transfer to a large bowl.
Fold in the cream cheese and mash with a potato masher or beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add the butter and cover with potatoes; once softened, stir to mix. or

mexi hominy
2 (15.5 ounce) cans white or yellow hominy, rinsed and drained
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (4.5 ounce) can diced green chiles
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 bunch chopped fresh cilantro
1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together hominy, tomatoes, green chiles, cumin, and garlic. Cook about 7 minutes. Stir in cilantro. Remove from heat, divide into bowls, and top with cheese
