Jesus has said, "I am the way, and the truth and the life...no man comes to the Father except by me." There is certainly universal truth...the question is who will we believe? God Bless!

We're stuck with this reality until we die. Barring mental collapse like Altzheimers or schitzophrenia... or like that. If you adhere to a religion, you may, after you die, ask your diety why. He may or may not answer that it was all His idea, a test of faith... that kind of thingy.
You in turn might say no, that that is not what you meant, you meant why all this, why anything at all? Depending on your diety, I can only imagine the diety saying something like, "Why, you ungratefull little..."
So the ultimate question would be for believers and non-believers alike, WHY ANYTHING AT ALL?
The universal truth... or the ultimate answer would be WELL, WHY NOT?
Seems kind of disappointing and rather inane too. Don't you think? How about, "IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME"

The glib answer is this. Catholic means universal, therefore ask the Catholics for the Catholic (Universal) truth. TA DA....

I could be a wise guy and say that the universal truth is that there is no universal truth. A true statement is a mental object, not a physical object, so even if a statement refers to a physical thing, the truth of it is still a mental thing.
But anyway...I haven't found any disagreement to the statement that all living things are composed of cells. Or that movement is the natural state of all energy. Or that everyone would rather get ten points than two points.

The only universal truth that I can think of, one that might even be considered absolute is that everything "changes." Thus "change" is the only universal or absolute truth.

All humans have come short of the glory of God.
There are many universal truths.

I don't believe so, at least not in the way most people mean.

I think that there are absolute truths and subjective truths.
