I'm doing a mock parenting project for psychology and I need to know what the typical costs are for enrolling a toddler in daycare in the United States. Monthly/weekly/whatever you can give me is great and much appreciated.

In my area it can run from $75.00 a week to $125.00 a week. Our state also has a child care council run by the state where you can apply for child care assistance that helps you pay your child care provider. The assistance is based on your family income. It provides a lot of help to single mothers trying to make it on their own. Hope this helps. Good luck with your project.

I think it may depend on where you live and what kind of center you're looking for, possibly what their daycare center involves as far as what's offered like food, education, whether it's a private institution, etc. Maybe you could call some local daycares in your area and ask those questions. Maybe they can tell you a little more info about how the pricing is determined in that business... around the country as well as in your state/city/etc.
