And yeah, it was spendy, but it has so been worth it! I've tried several other less expensive thermometer's but they have never been this easy or this accurate.

There are several different types of thermometer available. The one I use most often is called an Instant Read Analog Thermometer. It measures temperatures from 0* F to 220*F. You can go to the more expensive gourmet stores and buy them for $30.00 or more, or at a restaurant supply house and get them for $10-15.00 for a two-pack or you can go to a discount department store and buy them for about $7.00. I bought mine directly from raytek on the web for $60. now they are everywhere. I saw them advertised last week in a sears flyer for less They all work the same principal They are probably all made by raytek
