My Favorite verse is the second one in Amazing Grace:
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home
It is my favorite because it is so real and touching to relate to me and so many others - even in some of the most difficult times in life.
Amazing Grace lyrics:
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
"This is probably the most popular hymn in the English language—a television documentary was even made about it. Perhaps it is because its words so well describe the author: John Newton was a slave trader before coming to Christ. It was sung at the funeral of American president Ronald Reagan"

Four seasons......seconds flicker and flash..........i'm alone
A lonely scream provides the scene
it's no home.
Every night I hear you scream
but you don't say what you mean
This was my dream but now my dream has flown.
I'm at the crossroads waiting for a sign
My life is standing still but I'm still alive.
Every night I think I know
in the morning where did he go
The answers disappear when I open my eyes
I’m no stranger to this place
Where real life and dreams collide
and even though i fall from grace
I will keep the dream alive"
this is actually like the whole song by OAsis but it is so great i had 2 put all of it.

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART (Bonnie Tyler )
Turnaround, every now and then I get a
little bit lonely and you're never coming around
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit tired of listening to the sound of my tears
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit nervous that the best of all the years have gone by
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit restless and I dream of something wild
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit helpless and I'm lying like a child in your arms
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit angry and I know I've got to get out and cry
Turnaround, Every now and then I get a
little bit terrified but then I see the look in your eyes
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
Turnaround bright eyes, Every now and
then I fall apart
And I need you now tonight
And I need you more than ever
And if you'll only hold me tight
We'll be holding on forever
And we'll only be making it right
Cause we'll never be wrong together
We can take it to the end of the line
Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time
I don't know what to do and I'm always in the dark
We're living in a powder keg and giving off sparks
I really need you tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Forever's gonna start tonight
Once upon a time I was falling in love
But now I'm only falling apart
There's nothing I can do
A total eclipse of the heart
Once upon a time there was light in my life
But now there's only love in the dark
Nothing I can say
A total eclipse of the heart

Inside I built a wall
So high around my heart
I thought I'd never fall
One touch, you brought it down
Bricks of my defenses
Scattered on the ground

Now the suns gone to hell
And the moons riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But its written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
Were fools to make war
On our brothers in arms
Dire straits. (a close school friend loved this song so i always hold this close to me)
he died 20 years ago

The ragged they come
And the ragged they kill
You pray so hard on bloody knees
The ragged they come
And the ragged they kill
Down in the cool air I can see
Hey yeah, I'm the one that you wanted
Hey yeah, I'm your superbeast
Hey yeah, I'm the one that you wanted
Hey yeah, I'm your superbeast

"Jag är livrädd för att leva
Jag är dödsrädd för att dö"
Kent - Mannen i den vita hatten
"I am scared to life of living
I am scared to death of dying"
Albeit the translation does not do it proper justice as it is a wordplay.
