Hi....I am 18 years old, and I have asthma. I got my flu shot on Saturday. i wasn't feeling 100%, but not ill/ Yesterday, i rode back to my college with my roommate, who was complaining of a sore throat, sniffles, and he had a slight cough. Today I feel a little under the weather, as if I might be getting sick. can the fact that i got the flu shot and no aw am feeling sick make me ge even sicker? please help!

no, we get asked this question all of the time at work around this time of the year, you can't get sick from the flu shot, you were probably getting sick before you got the shot, it takes about two weeks for the flu shot to kick in

You can get the flu from flu shots, but that doesn't mean you should have them, far from it. However, it is likely that you have got a cold. 99 times out a 100 when someone says they have flu, its just a bad cold. Im 20 and have only had flu once; my temperature rose to 106 F. This is the case with most of my friends.
