Basic Training envolves performing the splits with your head touching the floor and... pushups. :(

What the hell? Was the "Basic" on the box a mis-print? I can only keep up with the DVD for ten minutes then i'm half dead... will it get easier after a while? Surely he doesn't expect a "dough boy" like me to keep up with him -- he's built like a brick-****-house, and i'm a lazy, bum who spends half his time sitting on his @$$ playing video games...

I just hope you didn't waste money on that DVD. Billy Blanks is a joke. He may be able to do all that crap but hell man, Im a fatass too and I know there is no way in hell I could do all that. Just start by walking....3 times a week, 20 mins a day. Then build up to more. After you get your heartrate up and begin to handle more, then worry about that other crap.

All workouts are hard when you first get into them. Just be sure to warm up properly first. "No pain, No gain." You need to tell yourself that you can do it and keep pushing yourself. 10 min. isn't enough to get your heart rate up enough to build your metabolism. But if you aren't able to go more than 10 min. then go to the thrift store (e.i. Goodwill, Salvation Army) and buy you 3 or 4 easier DVDs/tapes for like $2.00 a piece and once your able to do them without to much trouble, then go back to Billy's Boot-Camp. You will be amazed at how easy it is. Stick with it, you CAN do it. Good Luck.

Yes, it will get easier with time, even within just a few days of keeping at it, you will notice you can do more and keep up better.
It's a major change to go from doing nothing to a workout. Don't get discouraged.
I did the slim in 6 (I need to get back to it, lol) but at first I could only do like 5 minutes of the first video, but by the end of the week I could do the whole 30 minutes. It really does get easier, just don't push yourself so hard that your pull muscles or you will want to quit, do some modified moves till you build up the strength to do them how he does.
