Yes he does approve of it, and also with all other methods that we have discovered so far, we have made some pretty amazing discoveries and they have helped us to understand the planets and the universe in general. I believe that he also agrees with evolution, because it is pretty much happening and we can see it happening, he does not have problem with evolutionist, because if we keep on saying that he created everything we will never look further and inquire about the mechanisms of most things in the universe, which is what the scientists are doing for us, he just want us to know that it all started somewhere. We just need to give him credit for the first atom, and his brilliant idea that originated all this, that is all he is asking for.

The Bible is not a book of science. However when it touched on scientific matters it is very accurate. For example the Bible spoke of the earth as being a sphere or circle, hanging on nothing, this at a time when many cultures were unaware of this fact. Job 26:7, 10; Isaiah 40:22. Also. The order of creation matches the picture Scientist paint, though many of them deny the existence of a Creator.

The Bible does not mention the scientific method but it was formulated by a Christian man of science, Lord Francis Bacon (1561-1626), who used biblical principles in it such as verifying a fact by 2 or 3 witnesses (or sources) which is also a guideline in the legal profession.

What does scientific method comprise of? Observation and hypothesis. In essence, man uses all the tools available to him to look for as much information about things working around him as he can. Once he gets this information, he analyzes it to find any interesting relations and aspects.

In my opinion, yes God does approve of Scientific Method.

Allah says in the Qur'an ....

In the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of the night and the day there are indeed Signs for men of understanding. (3:190)

Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. (2:164)

Soon We will show them Our Signs in farthest regions of the earth and among their own people until it becomes manifest to them that it is the truth. It is not enough that thy Lord is Witness over all things? Aye, they are, surely, in doubt concerning the meeting with their Lord; aye, He, certainly, encompasses all things. (41:53-54)

And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect. (45:13)

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know. (30:22)

Supremely exalted is therefore Allah, the King, the Truth, and do not make haste with the Quran before its revelation is made complete to you and say: O my Lord! increase me in knowledge. (20:114)

There are many more such verses which encourage gaining knowledge and reflecting on the things around us.

Some of the work in this regard has been done by a french physician named Morris Bucaille. He learned arabic for the sole purpose of evaluating what the Qur'an says about different things.

Some excerpts from his book are available at:

These are short videos by different non-muslim scientists and their comments about what they found in the Qur'an and how it is in complete agreement with their research.

Moreover, Harun Yayha has done very important work in this regard

Check out http://www.harunyahya.com for more of his videos and analyze them. I know you can, because you don't blindly believe in anything.

Another resource,

As I said before, you would know about the authenticity of the work done when you go through it.

Here is a wikipedia link:

The good thing about this is that it lists down verses relevant to different fields of science.
