I'm having a problem w/ my fingers swelling during the day. The only place I'm having a problem is where my wedding ring is. When I first got my ring it fit but now (a year later) my fingers are swelling so bad throughout the day I that its actually drying out that area where my ring is and also making impressions of the ring in my ring finger. What can I do to relieve this pain and dryness that causes me to scratch it that causes more pain? I've tried everything from putting vitamin e to neosporin. But it doesn't help at all. My ring still fits my finger just my fingers swell up so bad. Help!

Maybe you are allergic to the metal used in the ring. You should see a doctor immediately before you have to have your wedding ring CUT off. that makes the most sense to me.

You've developed an allergy to the metal in the ring. Here's what you should do: get the ring made slightly bigger by a jeweller, have the jeweller put a thin rubber liner inside the ring so that the metal doesn't touch your skin...or don't wear the ring at all on your finger. Wear it on a necklace chain, or trade it for a ring made out of a different metal.

Could it be your are allergic to the metal your ring is made out of? Is the swelling confined to your ring hand or are both hands involved? Are your hands painful? Could you be developing arthritis? I think you should check with your doctor. I wish you well.

Take Calcium it can help with itching. Calcium can be found in supplements like TUMS. Your ring might be causing contact allergy. Try not to wear it for a couple of days and see what happens. If it does not work you should see a doctor for a diagnosis and treatment

Sounds like you need to decrease the amount of sodium you are taking in a day and increase the amount of H2O you drink.
