People on Yahoo answers kill me.

1. Mitigating factors do not mean 1st offense. A mitigating factor would be you stole to pay off someone trying to kill you.

It all depends on the charges. if it's ID theft, with a 23k larceny, you may be looking at some time.

In my opinion, find an attorney, and quickly. Do NOT talk to the police anymore without one there with you. Avoid the media, and take it day by day .

ask the judge hearing the case. He may be able to take the mitigating factor (first offense) into consideration when he sentences you, but the value of the theft (23,000) may be an agrivating factor.

In the state of Fl. anything over 300 dollars is a felony. The one thing in ur favor is that this is ur first offence and the DA may work with that. Good Luck

You are lucky you didn't steal from me as you would NOT be "coming down for breakfast"

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
