You might try gel baits. You can place them in obscure areas your cat cannot get to. Behind the refrigerator, inside light switch covers, backs of cabinets, etc.

If you use a spray, make sure your cat is out of the room and confined until the chemical is dry. You don't want there to be any skin to chemical contact (this applies to animals and people).

Dan Post cockroach killers work great but when handled by the wrong person they can be dangerous to cats also !!

Try buying Ukaliptus plants they are a natural repelant for bugs, and safe for other animals to have in the house.

red meat ants from the dessert they will kill the roaches and carry away there dead body's..they kill and clean up after them selves also their cat safe...
