But in Northern Calif. the Grape Owners are having a hard time getting help because now the illegal immigrants have now moved into landscaping, Carpentry ,Welding, Plumbing and other of our skilled labor force for halve the wages. The Gov. Out sources out a lot of Jobs now they allow our home land work force to be taken over by illegal immigrants. We do not want them in the Fields either
We do not know who is coming over the boarder and the Field Owners do not care if they are illegal we need to protect our food source from contamination by terrorist
To do this we need Fine Employers $5,000 each employee the First time the second time they loose the Company. If you rent to any the first time you are fined ½ yr’s taxes the second time you loose your home. If they can not live or work here they will not come here and leave.
The ones that stay could be deported a lot cheaper selling of the homes and Co from fines can offset cost.
We really need to start putting AMERICAN’S FIRST

Well said....at least the part about punishments for those that hire and house illegals. I do think that they started doing jobs that most people don't want, however they are moving into the more skilled jobs....I don't mind the people who work here legally but something needs done about the illegals....Stiff punishment is a start for those that get caught, and we need to find a way to slow down the new arrivals also. How this can be done, I have no idea...at least for a cost effective way....

I must tell you this. There are still plenty of mexicans willing to do the hard labor of working the fieilds. I do agree, they are taking away jobs from skilled laborers and union workers in those trades you mentioned. Ones where journeymen should have those jobs. I do believe business owners should be fined also. That makes me mad. I could care less if Mexicans work the fields, I have grown accustomed to them being everywhere here in southern California, but I do dislike having a plumber who isn't in the union come to fix my stuff. I see it all the time. The mexicans aren't trained to do a professional job. I'm not saying they don't try as best they can...it just never seems to be done right. I, as a southern California native believe we should let the Mexicans come in and work the fields legally. If not, we will be paying 10.00 per pound on tomatoes. Know what I mean? It is a sad shame, but even the homeless population here don't want to work the fields.

All that sounds good in theory but tell that to the people who benefit from all the labor done at half the cost. I am a home owner and will always look for the better deal. I will first hire the worker who actually comes out gives me the estimate and then comes to do the work himself vs. paying the salary of the contractor plus extra cost of the company who do not do any of the work but drive the cost up 40%. Lets face it the government makes it's money from the common man that pays taxxes like myself while business owners write it all off and don't pay a thing. This is trickle down economics and it's all good but being a country that is used to getting our way we will not want to pay five bucks for a head of lettuce because the American worker won't do it for less than ten bucks an hour plus benefits. You want our jobs protected then either go back to school and get a higher degree or cut out the middle man after all that is the American way.

I hear you, and understand. Personally I wish anyone that came to America would do so legally . We don't have a problem with them coming here. There is a legal pole which lets in a certain amount of them every time a certain industry needs some type of help. I live in Seattle and we are over the rim with illegals. They make up about 73% of people in one agricultural city. Knowing about 60% are illegal. If the government really wanted to do something about it, they would have. You see in an industry standards... you can pay $12.00 for a bottle of wine...or you could pay$150.00 that's the difference between a citizen working the fields...or an immigrant. Personally i wouldn't work for $2.00 and hour for 12 hours a day.But if they did it right...they could get more than that. But farming would not only put the rich farmer out of business. We would have to buy wine from the French.

Illegal immigrants come here for work too. but im a citizen and i don't want a job of cleaning someone Else's toilet, NO OFFENSE! I as an American citizen have more choices and know how to fulfill them. I dream of being a doctor and i can go to college and get an education for a better job, so i don't have to get a factory job which is shrinking at an increasing rate due to outsourcing. If you're complaining about an outsourced job then i suggest either get a GED for a higher opportunity or go to the country that your job is being outsourced to.

I dont understand the whole "Illegal Immigrant" debate that is happening today .. Yes, we need to have better track of the people who enter the USA, but we should not be looking at deporting or preventing others from coming into the country who actually work and are functional people in society.

It breaks my hear to hear stories lately of people who came to the USA years ago, got jobs, got a home, raised a family and lived the American dream, people who are VERY patriotic to the USA and admire it for the opportunities that it presents, just to be turned away and deported ...

We are a nation of Imigrants, and yes, we should be working on ways to make the illegals in this country legal immigrants ... also, building a fence on the border wont work, we need to be helping Mexico develop to our standard so that people wont "need" to come into America ... We have a stronger economy than Canada but I dont see an illegal immigration problem in the north ...

I think they really believe they are only doing migrant work and minimum wage jobs but not hardly! We have a factory a town over that employs 600 people and every once in awhile they are flushed out with a demand for a green card, these people are making $16.00 an hour starting. AND, I know we have some working where I work.

The only people who are saying that Americans won't do jobs that illegals do are liberals like Hillary, John (C&R) Kerry, Kennedy and the like.
It is just political smoke to cover their agenda.
No one has asked _this_ American to do a job that he wouldn't do, from digging ditches and cleaning out sewers to the hateful job of being a manager.

We need to:
_stop_ our runaway government
_stop_ out of country outsourcing of all jobs
_stop_ unauthorized crossings of all of our borders

Well it's true, in a way. What I believe is happening is that people that are willing to work are immigrating in to take jobs that people who aren't willing to work won't do. It's too easy to not work. Many Americans would rather sit on their butts and draw government assistance that take a job. That's what I see happening.

Especially when we have illegals who can't get benefits, paying the taxes for the deadbeats.

Illegal immagrants do the jobs for cheaper. They aren't always jobs that people won't do, its just that the employers just take the person or the people will work for less than everyone else. So that they can save money. It's actually kinda logical.
