And should'nt you love your fellow brothers in Christ?

“Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” –Adolf Hitler

The Nazi regime included anti-Semitic Christian writings in textbooks and they were not removed from Christian doctrines until 1961.

Hilter once said...
"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God’s truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders."
Of course it sounded more like, whitin himer shimea nuse...in german.

Hitler was baptized as Roman Catholic during infancy in Austria.

As Hitler approached boyhood he attended a monastery school. (On his way to school young Adolf daily observed a stone arch which was carved with the monastery’s coat of arms bearing a swastika.)

Hitler was a communicant and an altar boy in the Catholic Church.

As a young man he was confirmed as a “soldier of Christ.” His most ardent goal at the time was to become a priest. Hitler writes of his love for the church and clergy: “I had excellent opportunity to intoxicate myself with the solemn splendor of the brilliant church festivals. As was only natural, the abbot seemed to me, as the village priest had once seemed to my father, the highest and most desirable ideal.” -Adolf Hitler

I don't think there's any evidence whatsoever that Hitler was a Christian. Calling yourself a Christian doesn't make you a Christian; you have to believe and follow the commands of Jesus Christ in order to be one of His sheep.

Hitler's rabid anti-Semitism is proof of his unsaved status. Jesus is a Jew. How can someone hate what Jesus is, but claim to love Him? It's just not possible.

Jesus only gave us four commandments under the New Covenant. The second is given at John 13:34: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another." Jesus goes on to explain how a person can recognize a true Christian at verse 35: "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." This hardly describes Hitler.

It didn't surprise me at all when I first read about Hitler's religious background. You must understand that Hitler is a "type" or "shadow" of the Anti-Christ, who is definately alive at this very moment. Biblical prophesies tells us he will be a rabid liar, anti-Semitic, a truce breaker, and have no respect for the "religion of his fathers." Since we are also told he will be a gentile, I have little doubt the anti-Christ will come from a "Christian" background.

Peace.

Not everything is what the label says. The definition for a Christian would best be found in the Bible. And no matter what a person claims if he doesn't meet the definition he is not a Christian. See John 13:34, 35

If Hitler is really a Christian and a Catholic at that, then he is our brother in Christ.
But just like any brother, who has high regard with the teachings of the bible he could mis interpret it (see how many religions or sect who have their own interpretation of the bible) or he may have taken it by heart but as he grows older there had been outside influences that made him who he is or it is his way to gather more followers.
And just like any brother who have done wrong, we try to correct him but if he is persistent we take into our hands to stop him.

Hitler was not a Christian, as many on here who claim to be Christians are not.

A Christian follows God's Word. Hitler did not, and the majority of people on here who claim to be Christians also do not.

Especially those who try to claim homosexuality is not a sin, when God's Word says it is a sin.

And those who belong to any church that claims Mary was sinless, when God's Word says ALL have sinned.

no matter the race creed or religion you will get crazy ppl. Hitler appealed to the masses due to a common problem, being the economy. It was easy for him to use the Jews as a scapegoat. I can't blame most Germans for wanting to better the economy. It was through fear that he held and tightened his grip. Many people were killed for holding opposing views. The Gypsies for example were nearly wiped out... yet no mention of them in the books... strange no?
As for the 6 million Jews killed, there were 20 million killed in the war. Stalin killed closer to 80 million... so would Jesus love him less?
Hop off your pity soapbox... and join the living.
Make today better and tomorrow better still.

Hitler was using Christianity as a means of propagandizing to Christians...

Re: additional details
He was religious in youth, but the time period in which he committed the defining atrocities was one dominated by politics and expediency, not religion. Teutonic paganism had a good deal more to do with his thought structure as Chancellor than Christianity.

Do you hate Christians because if you do you are no better then him. Hilter may have called himself a christian, that dosen't mean he is a christian. I don't call myself a christian but everybody says I am becuse of how a live. Christains don't hate or fight like Hilter so I would say he is a false christian. So NO he was not a christian. Like so many nowadays say they are and then denounce it by the way they live

Hitler was also deceived. Just because you think you are a Christian doesn't make you one, no more than a person thinking they are (or even claiming) to be a Hindu. There is such a thing as lying and deceiving spirits. Hope that helps.

Well I will quote Matthew 7:21-23
Verse 21-Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Verse 22-Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Verse 23-And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Note: A man who killed many jews I would not call a saved person. Notice verse 23 where he says I NEVER KNEW YOU.
