In Asian cultures, we normally just give $100 per couple unless we want to give more. Usually the way to go is to give the couple a gift they can utilize together. They will probably register somewhere.

Although your gold rings to the men and gold chain to the ladies sounds very sincere and thoughtful and I'm sure they would appreciate the gesture. If you choose to do this, try www.ice.com (you can make payment plans)

I personally give gift baskets or gift cards to their favorite store. I love to get a huge basket and just buy all kinds of goodies to fill it. I recently made one for my friend who had the flu. This is what I put in her basket. A rainbow of tissue paper to line it and a huge metallic curly bow on the outside. Inside I put in lots of cans of chicken soup, a 2 litter of sprite, a huge thing of apple juice, pack of flavored hot teas, crackers, jello, bath salts, bubble bath, aspirin, pepto, heating pad, and a giant get well card. She LOVED it. Just take an idea and go with it. Of course, you don't have to go broke making them. You could buy some nice wines, cheeses, crackers, and a couple of wine glasses and candles. That would be appreciated for the honeymoon. Good luck I hope this will give you some ideas.

Gold is a tacky gift for a wedding. Buy them something practicle like towels(nice ones) or a gift certificate for a nice store. **** toys are also exceptable.

Give two gifts only. One for each couple. They would appreciate it if you buy them something that they could use to start their home with. Dinner wares, a set of coffee cups, bedsheets and pillowcases, to name a few. There are several options.

give them a plane ticket going to a romantic place. it's on sale now at orbitz. book for a fare and hotel in the internet and putit in an envelope card. they will always remember you for that because you have given them a chance to create memories as a couple. sample: hawaii, miami, or new york.
