For Thanksgiving, my classmate's uncle's girlfriend needs to get the dinners donated and distributed to families. Do you know of any organization around Chicago that I might be able to approach for contributions or that would like to name some of the recipients?

If you get connected to a organization, you can often go to grocery stores and ask for donations. You need to stress you are a non-profit. Also, put an add in the paper for volunteers. you'll get free labor and around this time people are itching to help.
Contact areas like a food bank or church that would be able to locate people who need food. They will more than likely be happy to help.

Try local churches there or go to businesses to see if they would like to help. Put an ad in the newspaper for volunteers or for those who'd like to donate. Good luck.
