my twelve year old little brother wants to drink coffee but my mom doesnt let him. is it okay for him to drink coffee and how much caffiene should he consume. also tell me any suggestion for coffee with the least caffiene that he can drink

Your mom is right, he doesn't need to start on an addictive drug at the age of 12. If he were to drink coffee, he should drink half coffee and half milk.

I'm 14 and I don't even drink coffee. Have him just stick to pop. Since he's younger, he is more bound to get alot more hyper and have high metabolism. Coffee isn't such a good idea at that age. Wait a couple of years until then.

You are better off to live a life withOUT caffeine at all. It is addictive and can cause heart problems. pop, coffee and black teas all have caffeine (as does chocolate) so chances are, your little bro has already had caffeine in his life, but coffee? at age 12? I wouldn't allow him
