It really makes me feel nothing at all. If they all die it would not bother me at all. I am worse than hating them, I am indifferent to them and just want them gone anyway it takes.

I am an anti illegal and I don't like to hear about anyone dying. I take no joy in an illegals death ,that's crazy, why would I as a human being be glad to hear that someone died ? No person with an ounce of humanity would want to see anyone die over coming to this nation illegally.
If the borders were secured,as they should be, then those tragic deaths would not have happened in the first place.

LOL to all the harda$$es who are saying they would kill them, yeah ok. I call Bull$hit! There are like 30 million here already. I got a task for you, go to any place at night when the cleaners are working at ANY commercial store or office, and odds are, they are illegal. Just ask them, if they dont have ID, they are illegal. Everyone has seen illegals and no one has the balls to do anything. So dont act all tough because the truth is that most people are option D even if they dont want to admit it. Its simple, If people don't hire them, then they don't have jobs, no jobs, no money, and they go home. So SOMEONE is hiring them. And that someone happens to be american. So don't say that the USA doesn't want them, its hypocritical. Its no different than saying we dont want drugs in the country, then smoking a joint.

When i read or hear of an illegal dying to get to the US i think just how important it must be for these people to try and get here at all cost including their lives. The scope of their death does not stop with just one person. Their families also suffer. I sometimes feel remorse considering i do not want illegals here, however i do not want anyone dying just to secure a better way of life.

I don't support their actions, but I pity someone who has nothing and risks everything, and then dies trying. A human life is still a human life, and I think that most of the people coming here are not hardened criminals.

I think that most of the people who come here really are hard workers and looking to better the lives of their families. I would prefer that they do it legally, though.

And I don't think any of them deserve to die in the desert.

Any lost of a human being will affect me. But I think that your question should be address to the government of these countries, especially Mexico. If you ask the government of Mexico they will tell you that the reason why they are dying is because the USA is making the crossing harder for their citizen to cross. They will also tell you that it is the problem of the American government not the Mexican Government and they will not interfere. Do you really think that the Mexicans in Mexico give a hoot about their citizen that are dying in our border? What do you think of their answered. Now they are going to the United Nation to complain about the fence in our side of the border because it is in humane to built that fence. What you think of this. Where is the humanity, the love for these people coming across our border from Mexico from their government and Mexican citizen. What are they, the Mexicans in Mexico doing to stop this tragedy. It's their job, for the love of their people, not ours, we the Americans are helping but I don't think it's our whole responsibility, especially when they have their own government and they the Mexican are so proud of them. This I know when I see them marching in our cities flying their Mexican flag and shouting Viva Mexico!!! It's a shame!!!!

But for an accident of birth it could be ANY OF US. I was born poor but white in the San Diego County Hospital long ago. My mother had her own struggles for survival in the Depression and later. However she did not have to sneak across a border to a place where there might be a better chance of surviving, and where she might be resented and maybe deported. I neither shrug nor cry about the situation, but I do take notice, for I know that it could have been you or me. "The bell tolls" for all of us. In closing, I think that the Mexican government is both uncaring and accountable for this tragic situation. Unfortunately its being repeated in other places around the world.

I feel bad. I feel bad their country isn't helping them. That there's animals making money transporting and dumping them in the dessert. But it's THEIR government that needs reform and those animals stopped from profiting over someones misery. I'm angry they risked it all for a lie. I'm angry that their are those who would rather die to take my country, than fix their own. I'm angry that there's those here, who dangle a carrot in their face for a Buck, without regard for their life. I have nightmares when I hear of people being left, packed like sardines in a box car or trailer because their death was so some rich jerk or company could make a few bucks. I'm saddened ,that in some cases ,their life was lost because of their own greed.

I feel as sad when I hear an illegal alien dies as I feel when I hear anybody dies. I dont care who they are or where they are coming from, a life lost is a life lost!! Even if it's an american criminal dying or being killed I will still be sad for his/her family!!

What affect do you expect it to have? Governments, in pursuing immigration policy, can't afford to operate on the personal level. Policy is set at the macro level in the interest of the country as a whole.

Those who are in favour of illegal immigration appear to operate at the personal level. It is at this level that they try to attack government policy by bringing emotion into the issue. This shows that they fail to understand that governments are responsible for the welfare of their own people and not the peoples of other countries: this applies to both the US and Mexican Governments.

Those who are not in favour of illegal immigration are not cruel insensitive people, they understand that the US is not responsible for the citizens of other countries and that you can't afford to personalise these things.

It is unfair of the pro immigration lobby to attack the government, and anyone else who doesn't agree with them, with emotive responses. I am sure that these are caring people, but do they understand what social problems they may be creating for the future, and why can't they busy themselves with resolving social problems within their own country?

Sadness for the lost soul and confirmation of my point of view.
I am sad that the loss of a life occurred (and who knows how much suffering along with it beforehand.) but for lack of proper government and credulity in caring for a populations well being that would drive people from their own country into a neighboring country to seek a better life.
I for one would like to see this sort of thing be on the agenda of focus by groups like the UN. That is if a gov. can't control and support the health and wellbeing of it's populace, it should be a target for pressure in the beggining, if not "engagement" in the end, to protect and provide for it's own people.
The confirmation of my point of view is that the goverment of Mexico is corrupted and beyond acceptable standards as currently it's behavior is threatening it's own populace as well as indirectly, the well being of neighboring countries.

It's time to ring the Mexican Government's bell and put them on notice. Clean up you acts, take care of your people ...or else!
