Love is blind means that we are blinded by the feelings. You stop thinking logically and stop "seeing" the obvious things. You know when you're in love because everything else seems to have less importance than it did before. Good luck!

What the phrase means is that looks are not a major factor in the falling in love process. I'm sure you've seen a good looking guy with a dog of a girl and vice versa? That's it; to those people it's a question of having fallen in love and it's the person not the appearance that counts. You'll know very readily if you fall in love, especially if it's unrequited because it hurts like hell. On the other hand if you find the right one it's bliss. So, go ahead, be blind and let your heart be your guide.

There are some things that you can only know by putting it to the test of time.
After all if it IS the real thing it will stand that test, and if it is not you have lost nothing but at least have gained the experience.
If after some time you feel the same, ask yourself how you would cope WITHOUT him/her.
If the answer is that you would find someone else to occupy the time then you are most definitely not in love.

Well because that old saying does'nt speak of literal eyesight 'blindness'. It means that infatuation or even real love does not 'see' or notice the loved ones faults or shortcomings.
Sometimes we see just what we choose to see in a person when we are 'blinded' by infatuation or sometimes even lust. Also, ever heard the phrase "beer googles?" ...lol

There are a lot of interpretations of meaning that Love is blind. The following one is about love to people.
Normally when we fall in love, we fall in love with a person's appearance, their personality, their likes and dislikes, the way they do things, the sound of their voice, the way they dress, etc. We fall in love with those who fit our notions of the perfect person, with those who support our own beliefs and realities, and with those who might satisfy our needs for security, approval, stimulus, growth and nourishment.
Conversely, when someone fails to fit our expectations, we judge them negatively, and so block our love. In extreme cases, they become "someone I could never love".
But put on a blindfold, and in silence feel their care, their love for you as a fellow human being, and you may find yourself loving them as deeply as a close friend. Such love is truly blind -- blind both to their imperfections and to their perfections.

You know you are in love by the way you get up i the morning. do you take extra time in the bathroom getting ready for the one you like or are you skipping around and making merry on the worst days of the year and that is what i think is love

Because you truly trust the person iwth all your heart and soul. Life without that person is impossible to live but somehow if worst came to worst you'd have to butnever stop loving that person of thinking of that person. You'd close your eyes and know that everything was okay as long as you were with eachother.

you can't see everything you feel you know! love is supposed to be blind as we should fall not just for looks but for personality. If you have to ask how you know you are in love then you haven't experienced it yet! Love is everything, consideration, kindness, loyalty, butterfly feeling when you see someone, passion, tenderness, companionship, lust and much much more!

i thought love is blind meant that you can't see that your in love you feel it, its a feeling deep down in your heart! the type of feeling like when you look into a boys eyes who ya really like and your heart just flutters or when he smiles at you, you start to dream of being alone with him. or even the type of feeling when someone you love dies and you cry forever almost anyway! that is the emotions of love acting on you.
love is when you can't stand to be apart from someone, when you cry if they don't talk to you or are nasty, when everynight your dreams are all about him and when you start drawin you in a wedding dress on a scrap paper and imagining him looking at you walking up the aisle.
love is when your knees go weak, love is your everything!!

"Love is blind" means you think the person is better than they really are. You will forgive all faults, or maybe even refuse to see them at all. But your friends can see the faults of the person you date.
That's all it means. It doesn't mean you don't know when you're in love.
