L-dopa is primary drug in parkinsons.as the disease in progressaive it not gona be enough alone for a long time but it's still depends.
the drug acts centraly in the brain and turn to dopamine,as it's believed that dopamine shortage could be the reason for parkinson.
it's usually used with carbidopa in "senimet" to decrease it prepheral side effects, nausea, vomitin, flue like weekness
L-dope side effects includes too confusion, slow in movement but generaly it gona improve the parkinsons symptoms.
take care of protien diet couse high amount of protien decreases the effecacy of l-dopa
most of antidepressant drugs do the same through increasing dopamine & seritonine but most antipsycotic medications, for maniac episodes, can couse parkinsons which may or may not improve upon disontinue or chang the medication.

L-tryptophan can only affect you mildly. It cannot cause schizophrenia unless you were predisposed to the disease and recieved impossibly large amounts of the amino acid. Why don't you want to take 50-HTP? It helped me a little in my depression. Not enough to be a final solution, but I did notice a lift as I used it in conjunction with heliotherapy (light therapy) to treat SAD(seasonal affective disorder)-like symptoms. Rule of psychology - Correlation does not equal Causation. If you want tryptophan, eat Thanksgiving dinner. Have you noticed everyone sleeping after dinner, after they start to watch the game? That's tryptophan from the turkey(supposedly). Along with overeating. And vacation. And higher stress levels with extended family around. Okay, so maybe tryptophan has nothing to do with the sleeping. We like to make connections sometimes.

L-dopa is an amino acid precursor for the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine. Increased levels of these neurotransmitters may be the reason.

Levodopa is used to increase dopamine levels for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, since it is able to cross the blood-brain barrier whereas dopamine itself cannot.

Your post is interesting. There has been some speculation that Bi-polar can be a dopamine problem.
