my aunt is 38 years old and she still runs around with lovebites on her neck and below her neck, and she has no shame at all. Should I be embaressed or should I just let it go.

Well first of all Hickeys are never a cool thing, no matter what age, they are a sign of disrespect from the male and they show disrespect for yourself, it is a very trashy thing to do. Some people think its cool but it really is not in the least bit. Hickeys are very childish. Nobody wants to look at someone and see that they have hickeys all over their neck below their anywhere for that matter. You can still bite n suck on peoples neck without leaving marks on them, so therefore theres no reason why your aunt should be running around at 38 with hickeys on her neck, you are completely right.

Well I am that age ,, Yeah you have a right. But if she is 38 ... and doing this .. maybe its something she is working out of her system... Is this a new boyfriend?? What does your mother say??? Maybe she could talk to her.. But I would say .. sometime when you have a talk... that it bothers you and is that how she wants you to act.. probably not... Sometimes us old ladies like to have a tryst.. BUT it WAS'NT cool in Jr high school and it isn't cool as a mature adult.. If she has no shame .. there might be something else going on like working through a divorce .. or other issues.. no one at her job has said anything or other family members .. you cant hide hickeys . even at 38 mabey its a phase ... you may just have to be there for her.. But still tell her you think its in bad taste.

Hicky's are never cool. But you should let it go maybe at this age she is just proud that she can still play the game and get a lovebite.
Maybe you could tell her that the new trend is to get lovebites in hidden areas instead of in noticeable ones, tell her that the trend is getting lovebites on the inner thigh. Tell her that if this is where she gets them instead that it means she's got her man wrapped and that she should only share the info with her closest friends.

Let it go... I am over 30 and When I am getting a hickey... the last thing on my mind is whether or not I or anyone else will be embarrassed later. It means she enjoys herself, and that is as life should be, be happy for her. : )

Hickeys are not cool at any age. They are just nasty looking and make people look like white trash. I would be bad embarrassed if I was with someone who had one. I think your aunt needs help......ewwww!!!

OMG No! You shouldn't be embarrassed as it is not YOUR neck! But tell her that they are not cool unless she has them in places where only the hickey vamp and she can see them.

Hickeys at any age are ridiculous looking. and I agree with the other poster -- definitely trailer trash!
But there is absolutely no reason for you to be embarrassed by anything your adult Aunt does. She is not your responsibility.

Hickeys are gross. They make you look like a slut. You have to really be trying to put a hickey on someone. If she likes hickeys she can always have them done lower where her clothes will cover them.

Hickeys are not cool at any age, if you feel confident enough, then talk to her, otherwise, leave it alone, and don't be embarrassed, she should be the one embarrassed.
