I am not sure that you can get rid of it completely cos you need it to play things like videos or vocal things on your computer. You can go to Control Panel > add/remove programmes> click on windows media player> change/remove. It may work or it may not

Yes - click start - click set program access and deafault - click add/remove windows components. Then find Media player on the list and click to remove it - hopefully. That is the way it is supposed to work. But you are also supposed to remove MSN messenger the same but it doesn't always work! But that's Microsoft!

Uninstall the program and remove the directory for it in windows. Then go to the registry and remove windows media player from it. (use a registry cleaner for that)
Good Luck

You can't remove it because it is a part of Windows OS. If you don't like it download something like Winamp, Musicmatch or JET Audio Basic and make it your default player.

It's not possible. You can do it control panel -> add/remove programs but remnants of it will always float around somewhere because it is a Microsoft application...you cannot kill it...unless you switch to Apple.

i would not, itunes blows because of the fact it converts all you data right into a replica set and makes use of far greater room. in case you do in contrast to wmp, attempt winamp or the different in the past you bypass all out foritunes.
