What price range are you thinking of?
Last year I got my granddaughter a soft doll that had buttons to button and snaps to snap.
Anything they can stack at this age is great. They love to stack and knock stuff down - so blocks are good - soft blocks are better because they can throw stuff pretty hard by this age also.
Here are basic gift buying tips for little kids.
1 - electronic stuff is very cool but only for the first five minutes, I have found that kids (even very young kids) figure out all the buttons before too long and then they are bored.
2. Noisy stuff drives parents bonkers - it will get hidden on a high shelve and never get down
3. Too big (tricycles, scooters - hard to play with indoors) or too small toys (lots of little lose-able parts) alwasy need an adult to supervise, then the adult wants to play their way and it isn't as much fun for the kid. (some adults are cool to play with, but most get bored too quick...)
4. Think versatility - kids sure do! Stuffed animals and dolls are great for imagination, stacking cups can be towers, or used in the sand or bath tub, or can be used to serve "hot soup" to mommy, or can be a drum set.
Also Toys R us has an online shop by age guide...

i don't comprehend in the experience that your neice is into video games or something like that....however the Wii is an exceedingly large interactive game!! It has Fii (that's wellness), music video games the place she will play instruments, there are countless opportunities with this game and a great sort of recommendations!! i'm 25 yrs old and that i LOOOVE this technique! it's going to get her up and shifting and he or she will play it together with her friends! I propose and the known outfits, cellular telephones (LMAO), and lip gloss! She'd completely be in tot hat sort of stuff! the large element approximately Wii's are that they are completely much less costly in comparison to different game structures!! stable success on your Christmas paying for!!
