This is one I had as a preschooler and my preschoolers love it:
nilla wafers
vanilla or banana pudding
sliced bananas
cool whip
you can do this in a big bowl or in individual containers the amount you use is to your liking
All you have to do is layer the ingredients in the order listed, you can do single layers or multiple (I prefer multiple) and chill until ready to eat
Change this up by using angel's food cake or sponge cake, add some chocolate chips, almond slivers, or some other nut, or try drizzling chocolate or carmel syrup on it, maybe even raisins
Another thing you can do is make a simple and I mean simple banana pie
make banana pudding and cut your bananas into it top with a layer of cool whip. Use a graham cracker crust or prebaked pie shell.

Banana-Berry Smoothie:
Sip this power breakfast which boasts more than 300 milligrams of calcium while getting ready for work or on your way there. A scoop of powdered milk boosts the calcium contributed by the yogurt and the calcium-fortified orange juice. Additional nutritional benefits come from potassium-rich banana and antioxidant-rich berries. Frozen berries ensure a thick, creamy consistency, but you can also use fresh ones. Other frozen fruits, such as peaches or mangoes, work well, too.
1 1/4 cups calcium-fortified orange juice
1 1/4 cups frozen mixed berries (such as Cascadian Farm Harvest Berries)
1 cup sliced ripe banana
1/2 cup vanilla fat-free yogurt
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk
1 tablespoon sugar
Combine all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth.
Yield: 3 servings (serving size: 1 cup)

I love this cake....try it...it is glorious!
For the pan
2 tablespoons sugar
1/3 cup medium-finely chopped walnuts
1-2 tablespoon softened unsalted butter
For the Cake
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, completely softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 very ripe bananas
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 large eggs
6 tablespoons buttermilk
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, melted and cooled
-----------------------------
1. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and heat to 350.
2. In a small bowl, mix the sugar with the chopped walnuts.
3. Generously butter a large bundt pan and coat with the nuts and sugar, pressing the nuts with your fingers to help them stick. The pan sides will be coated and some of the nuts will fall to the bottom, that’s fine.
4. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt until well blended.
5. With an electric mixer, beat the butter, sugar, bananas and vanilla until well blended and the bananas are almost smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
6. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until just incorporated.
7. Remove the bowl from the mixer. With a rubber spatula alternately add half the flour mixture, all the buttermilk and the rest of the flour mixture, stirring until each addition is just blended.
8. Spoon half the batter into a medium bowl and gently stir in the melted chocolate until just combined.
9. With a large spoon, alternately add a scoopful of each batter to the prepared pan, working around the pan until all the batter is used.
10. Gently run a knife or the tip of a rubber spatula through the batter, once clockwise and once counterclockwise, to slightly swirl the batters.
11. Gently tap the pan on the counters to settle the ingredients.
12. Bake the cake until a pick inserted in the batter comes out with just a few crumbs sticking to it, about 40 minutes.
13. Let the cake cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes*.
14. Gently tap the sides of the pan on the counter to loosen the cake.
15. Invert the pan onto a rack, lift off the pan and let the cake cool completely.
16. *Be sure to follow the time guidelines for unmolding the cake. If you wait too long, it will stick to the pan; take it out too early and it might break into chunks.

Banana Short Cake
Blend 4 to 6 bananas in a blender, or processor with
1/4 cup white granulated sugar
1 splash of milk, to smooth the bananas (or a shot of vodka, goes well with bananas)
Spread the banana mix over short cakes (the same ones you would use to make strawberry shortcake)
Serve with a sprig of mint for a garnish, or the tops of the banana peel.
MMMMMMMMM!!!!!

I second the banana pudding notion. Very ripe bananas give the pudding more flavor so that it is not overpowered by the vanilla taste.
