Im not a doctor or anything..im jsut going by experiences of my friends and things ive read up on... i dont know when miscarraiges happen but i do know that being Stressed while pregnant (especially at your age) greatly raises your risk of a miscarriage (and miscarraiges your first pregnancy are common too) When the body is stressed...it tries to find out if there is a physical reason for it first...your body will start treating the baby in your tummy as a foreign object and will over time get rid of it like it was a foreign object IF THE STRESS IS REALLY HIGH. Everyone is always a little worried and stressed when a new baby is on the way...so just because you are a little stressed doesnt mean the baby is in danger.... Just dont let it get out of control(dont let urself come overally anxious/worried/depressed about it). You had an ultra sound and everything was FINE...so just be happy that your baby seems healthy and im sure everything will be ok.

You feel you will have a disabled child? Or that the disabled children you work with will hurt your baby?
Have you had a miscarriage before? You need to talk with a doctor about your concerns. If at all possible take off time from work if this is worrying you so badly....
Stress can cause many health problems and you do not need it in your condition. If you are worried about having a disabled child don't be, there great!!

I can totally relate. I was a huge worry wart during the first trimester of my pregnany and I was completely inconsolable. Your chance of miscarriage goes down more and more with each day that passes. Once you reach the 12 week mark, you usually in the clear. But, be warned...once you're in the clear, you'll probably find something else to worry about! LOL But that's okay...that probably just means you'll be a very attentive mommy. Best of luck to you!!

The percentage for miscarriages goes down once you reach the 2nd trimester.
I think it's natural to worry about miscarriage, particularly with your first child. But worrying isn't going to help or change things. Just continue to go to your prenatal appointments and follow the advice of your doctor. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and don't worry so much.
Good luck with everything!

First, I think that you ought to take a degree in comfort in knowing that most babies are delivered on time without any problems.
At 20 years old, you are living your happiest years. Do yourself a favor right now and stop worrying about the things which you cannot control. Live your life to the fullest and be happy & grateful for the things that you have been blessed with.
