Can I suggest you forget for a moment about the physical scar.
At 46 we have all lived life and gained trophys to show it. Good thing I say. And most of them are emotional. You live life, give it a go and come back for another go. Faith and courage and very hard work at times! Just as you reach the point of stopping to worry about your scar, your pubes go gray!
Get my drift? I was 14 and went through a car windscreen and my face was well scarred. Scars can be a turn on as well I learnt. Think tatooes!
Issue is your perception. Ex used it as a pure excuse. Nothing more.
Live and enjoy life please. And accept. You could have lost limbs, children, be dead. That is not to dismiss how you feel about your body. Get a couple of sessions of counselling if need be. What happened was a real shock and don't dismiss it!
We all grow old. Better than the alternative!
Thanks for letting me rant!

awwww, that's just down right mean..glad he is your ex-b/f. neosporn has a scar cream, it works great, but then again, you've had surgery. don't let things like that bother you, it doesn't have anything to do with of who you are as a person. Goodluck, and if this new bf really cares for you, it won't matter...tell him about it or show him first, then you'll know if he's worth going all the way with. God Bless

I have a scar on my face and the best women I have ever meet have loved me despite it. I see the scar as a blessing because it means I don't end up with shallow women.

I have a scar which sounds similar to yours and although I'm conscious of it, it has never been an issue with boyfriends I've had since my op (10 years ago). Your ex sounds like an idiot! Don't worry.

I have the same scar and none of my lovers has a problem with it. One of them use to kiss the scar on the way to my privates. Don't worry about, right partner will understand.
Good luck.

I am sure any guy who is worth it will not be put off by it - as you age the scars will fade but you will still remain a special person!

Your previous boyfriend was a git. Most men won't even notice your scar, they'll be too busy looing at all the other bits of you that men like best.

what a tosser, poor you, its bad enough going through that without being made to feel bad about it.
you could always bring it up in conversation about your ex, and if he is turned off by your scar then he s not worth knowing.
you could get s really nice basque that you could keep on during sex and he d never get to see it anyway.
you ll find someone who loves you for who you are, whatever your body is like. this man has ruined your past dont let him ruin your future too. be confident and happy in yourself.

My scar runs from above my belly button to just above my pubes. I have had three children since then so it is all a bit mis-shaped. It makes no difference at all, especially when laid down. I am 51
