If they meet at a catch weight of 168lbs, Hagler moving up, Braxton coming down. I think it would have been a war. What do you think/

Marvin Hagler wins by TKO,Marvelous Marvin Hagler would eventually cut Braxton with his constant body and head shots attack. It is a shame that sometimes fights are decided by judges who themselves do not even agree who the victor was,in the case of Leonard vs Hagler fight,my opinion is that Hagler won the fight by a close margin, which in turn made Hagler leave boxing disappointed and bitter, but he was one of the best if not the best of his time.

Excellent question sir! Braxton (Qawi) was a relentless tough pressure fighter always looking to get inside while Hagler is one of the greatest middleweight champs of all time. I believe that Hagler would control the fight with his southpaw stance and outstanding jab. Qawi would get inside some and land good punches that Hagler would answer with combinations. This would be a thrilling fight with Hagler winning by decision.

Interesting match up Pancho. Qawi was relentless throwing punches constantly and looking to always get on the inside because of his height and reach. Hagler as we all know was as skilled a boxer/puncher as there has ever been in the history of boxing. I think that Qawi would at a disadvantage because of trying to shed the weight. Hagler would be smart in this match. He'd fight the majority of the fight from the southpaw stance and jab Qawi constantly. Hagler by a unanimous decision win. Qawi face would be damaged and swollen and Hagler's midsection would be welted up at the end of the match.

This bout is a total mis-match.

Qawi - W 41 (KO's 25) TF 53 - W pct 77% - KO pct 47% - wins over Saad Muhammad{2}, L. Spinks - KO'ed by Holyfield and Foreman

Hagler - W 62 (KO's 51) TF 67 - W pct 93% - KO pct 76% - wins over Minter, Hearns, Duran, Seales, Briscoe, Mugabi and Hamsho{2} - #35 ranked puncher - #17 ranked fighter

Qawi fought as a Light Hwy wt and Cruiser wt. It is easier to move up in weight than to go down in weight from your normal weight class. Sorry Charlie, this fight will not be the war you thought it would be. Hagler will win an easy 15 rd unanimous decision over a depleted Qawi.

Hagler would win by late stoppage, as the making of the weight would weaken the formidable braxton.
