There is money for college for your daughter. Some places are easy and some steps are a bit more difficult. It does take a little bit of time for some of the items though. There are six resoruces out there for finding help.
First, apply January 1 or later of her senior year of high school at FAFSA.ed.gov. It will help her tap into need based financial aid from the federal government and the college itself.
Second, 35 states offer a web page where an individual can apply for college and state assistance. It can be located on Google.com and Yahoo.com.
Third, the high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships for its students.
Fourth, some college majors have scholarships attached to them. You can locate them on Google.com and Yahoo.com by searching for the major and scholarship together.
Fifth, the college's financial aid office can help you with questions or ideas on funding. Their website also often lists scholarships. Also they have a list of private scholarships from organizations and companies.
Finally, there are free membership scholarship search websites out there. Most are updated on a regular basis.
Good luck!
