Ok, my girlfriend just started her new job and she is VERY sore. She is lifting and packing very heavy stuff. So I bought some Bengay and she had never used it b4. Neither have I. I just thought it was a massaging lotion. On top of that, I bought the Extra Strength. It was burning her really bad and I feel awful. So, PLEASE anyone who has ANY idea how to use this stuff PLEASE help me? I need answers ASAP.

I found this info that may be helpful - where exactly did she apply it on her body? There is a toll-free number towards the end that you can call and ask the manufacturer directly. I hope she feels better soon - God bless!

Wash the BenGay off with warm soap and water, then try having her sit in a tub full of hot water for her stiff muscles. Tell her to make the water as hot as she can stand it and just lay in it until the water starts to cool off. Unless you have a hot tub she can sit in, that is the best non medicinal treatment for sore aching muscles. Also, some Advil or other anti-inflammatory over the counter medication will help.

Dear Friend with Friend exposed to BenGay:

Take your friend into the shower and
lather her up good with Joy Liquid Soap,
Lemon Scented. Wash off all the BenGay
cream with that soap and warm water.
Then use a rough wash cloth with lots more
Joy liquid soap to wash her sore muscles
briskly and with lots of energy. Finally rinse
her off completely. Lead her out of thy
shower and dry her off with a big fluffy
towell and put her to bed with two Tylenol.
She should feel fine in the morning.

Buddy, She doesn't need Bengay. Give her a silky Avon lotion massage.

That stuff remind mind me of that icy hot cream for back aches. That's how it is suppose to work to help with all the aches. If it's burning really bad tell her to jump in the shower and using a heating pad and a Tylenol and she will feel better.

bengay does burn. try using the vaseline intensive care warming lotion for a massage. it delivers some heat but is much milder. its also good for your skin.

Quit using Bengay - Use Biofreeze. It may cost a little more but it will not burn & it works better.

That's what it does, delivers the sensation of heat.

Forget the Ben Gay, it is useless. The soreness will work out after a week or two on the job.
