I got a ticket for going 75 in a 65 zone. I do not want this on my insurance. Does anyone know if there are driving schools that I could take to keep this off my insurance? How can I get this dropped?

This is what you do... 1st get a list from your insurance company of the point system i.e. a list of the infractions and # of points for each 1.

Then you speak with the officer who gave you the ticket. He must be in court for your hearing (mandatory), but visit the station house or call and ask for him. Be VERY nice, polite and HUMBLE. Tell him you are looking for a reduced charge of - here is where you refer to the list. There are other charges with only 1 or 2 points and any nice cop is happy to work with you. They do not care about insurance points, only the fine the town collects. Find a charge like 'careless driving' or 'failure to obey a traffic sign' or I forget the others but get the list from the ins. co and look and be creative.

I had a friend who got three speeding tickets. He hired a lawyer, who did the paperwork to change the court date several times. By the third change the police officer usually did not show up. Its worth the money to hire a lawyer, as you'll be paying higher insurance for some time.

Take it to court. but i don't really think you can get out ofthis one. 75 in a 65 makes you kinda guilty. good luck.

Unless you can prove that you were ticketed unjustly, forget about it.
