cerfew is a state law. Very improtant. Teens need structure and must be disaplined if they do not obey the rules. This is one of many life lessons.

Some teenagers have a hard time with priorities. When I was a teenager my number one priority was my boyfriend/friend. I spent little time on school and my grades showed it. I never failed but I did have a drop in my GPA at one point. While it's important for teens to spend time with their friends and socialize--it's not the most important thing on ones agenda. Some of the best times are spent in high school. More good times continue on when a person goes to college. School and teenage years are supposed to be a mix of both social life, extra curricular, and school. Grades, learning, and school should be the top priority but are often not. Parents restrict time with friends to better enforce study and education. Hope this answers your question!

Teenagers time is restricted when there out with there friends because Teenagers have a tendency to get into trouble.
Peer pressure is strong and friends can talk you into doing things your not suppose to. Most teenagers get into more trouble when they stay out to long at night. That is when most friends will try to pressure you into doing stuff.
Stealing, smoking, weed, drinking, cocaine, sex, etc.
Parents are trying to keep there Teenagers safe and out of trouble.

Curfew Laws (City, County, State laws requiring people under a certain age be off the streets by a certain hour)
Parental curfews.. Many parents have a set time when all children are to be home... It's not that parents do not trust kids, even kids who have never been in any trouble have parental rules.. Parents are responsible for the safety and well being of thier children even teenagers, in order to do thier jobs as parents they have to set rules and consequences and one of the rules that has to be set is a curfew...

I never restrict my teenagers when they go out. They just have to be home before it's dark outside or if not, they should call me on the phone. But I don't restrict them. Why should I ask them not to do something(or go somewhere) when I know that at the moment I turn my back,my require won't be satisfied?Advice to all parents:Don't restrict your teenagers. You better help them cope with the problems than overprotect them.

Because teens need structure imposed upon them because they are impulsive, short-sighted, lack experience, see little if any consequences for the actions, and have a messed up priority system.
It's not your fault, the teen brain is simply incabable of making smart decisions. And the more teens you put together, the worse off yall are when making decisions....kind of like the dumbest idea yall come up with is the one yall decide to do....it's a proven scientific fact ;-)

Parents restrict their teen time out with friends, because we want the best for our children. I know it feels bad now, but you line of thinking will change when you become a mother. Be grateful that your parents love you enough to say enough is enough.

It's their parents' job to set boundries for them as teenagers often have trouble setting their own boundries so they behave responsibly.

For safety and educational reasons.
If you don't like it...run away from home...or is the free food, clothes and roof over your head too hard to leave?
