Hey Tinker,

I ate recently at the Torino's in Eastlake. For Eastlake - the food was plausible. It's Olive Garden with better salads and SLIGHTLY better service (Although, the Eastlake location seemed to be pressed to offer much more).

You won't get sick, but you won't rave either. After the long trip to Eastlake - I was just happy to not be in traffic!

Ate at the Covina's Johnny Carino. It's so-so. Service is slow. The chefs looked like students in training.

I've eaten at Carinos in Kanapolis, NC, Lubbock, TX and Bozeman, MT. I like it slightly better than The Olive Garden and a lot better than Carrabas. They have a lot of good appetizers, and their entrees are more original, though you can still find the staple Italian chain entrees too.

The one in Tulsa sucks. Terrible, brain-dead waitress's and not very good food. Can't speak for San Diego. Hopefully its better but I've found that chain restaurants tend to be alike regardless of where located.

They are ok for a chain restaurant. They overcook the pasta and over salt most dishes, but it's to the liking of most American palettes. The bread is decent, nothing to rave about. Overall, I prefer the little, authentic, hole-in-the-wall, Mom & Pop shops better.

That is my favorite italian restaurant. My favorite dish is the 4 cheese tortelloni. They also have incredible minestrone soup.

i was extremely disappointed. i'd rather go to mimo's, zagarello's, or even fillipe's than back to johnny carino's.
