My boyfriend keeps sweetening the truth with things that are not truth. They are not major things that he is lying about. But it frustrates me because I tell him often that I want our relationship to be honest and it doesn't matter what he tells me, I just want the truth. I have been hurt very badly in the past and have a hard time trusting people. It worries me that if he is telling little lies now, what if he starts telling big lies? I really do love him with all my heart and we are engaged to be married, but this sends up warning flags for me. What should I do?

Dump Him. If he's lying now, what's he going to be doing in a few years from now. You can't trust him, even if it is something small, once he see's that he can get away from the small lies they'll just keep getting bigger and bigger. I'de step away from this if I were you.

You Should tell your fiance how the little lies bother you, even though they are small it seems like they are big to you and just by addressing him on the subject it could make things a lot better because he may try to work towards not telling you those small lies. communication is really key in a relationship and if he really loves you he will work on the problems that bother you, just give him a chance and talk with him about it, you'll see change, trust it.

I hate liars. You dont even really know if he's told any big lies. People who have nothing to hide dont lie. There has to come a point where you say to yourself that he is a liar and you cant really be sure if your aware of all the lies he's telling. Its not a good sign to me either. You better figure all this out before you walk down the isle.

It doesnt matter. A lie is a lie, and thats why i dont have that many friends. If someone tells me a lie they lose contact with me. If he is lying to you, scare him. Get really angry, throw some things around and leave for a week. If he loves you, he'll learn his lesson.

This is a bigger problem than you realize.He is not trustworthy.He is probably hiding alot from you,including his real feeling about stuff,what he is really up to etc..I am not saying he is a horrible person but he has real issues.Don't get married unless you want to live a lie and want him to do the same thing.Trust me it will not be good...

Simple!!!! Leave him now. why are you engaged to a man who does nothing but lies? A lie is lie...no matter how small or if they're just sweeting the truth...it's still a lie.

Sounds like he can't be trusted,thats for sure.I'd tell him,"the next time you lie to me i'm leaving you and thats the truth!!
