buy her a present of deodorant,

Tell her! It may be hurtful, but what type of freind lets another freind walk around stinking?

Wait until it is just the two of you alone and very gently tell her that she has B.O then suggest some deodorants she might use.Remember she may have an underlying medical complaint so be tactful.

Mitchum make a great deodorant for "excessive sweaters" you might want to suggest this to her or even buy a can then tell her a white lie along the lines of a buy 1 get 1 free promo, and as a freind you are offering her the extra can.

She might just get the message.

In the way only a best friend can, you tell her/him. Hints like have you ever tried this deodorant? I think it's too perfumey...etc. or do you use a body spray they can be so nice, etc. may help lead up to the topic. Sometimes subtle hints can get the message across without hurting anyone's feelings.

A true best friend tells you that you have spinach in your teeth or that you have BO. A true best friend does it to be helpful, not hurtful.

How old are you? Maybe your friend is so young that she has never needed to wear deodorant before. I think you can just talk to her and explain that now is a good time. Maybe you could buy her some in a scent that you know she'd like. Then you could say something like, "Hey, I don't know if you've noticed, but now that we're maturing our bodies sure are changing, huh? This stuff has worked for me." I think it would be gentle coming from a friend.

If you're older, I still think talking to her in a spirit of friendship and kindness is still a good way.

If you say she is your best friend then you should be able to sit her or him down and tell them to their face without upsetting them. I am sure that if it was you with the problem you would expect your best friend to do the same for you without any embarrassment. You can always tell them how you keep fresh and BO free

Well as she is your best friend you should just be straight to the point and be very honest with her, I am sure she would much rather it come from you than a stranger, maybe she has a medical condition that makes her sweat badly, talk to her about it, no need for embarrassment amongst friends is there.

Speak to him and enter the problem in a subtle way.
He may be allergic to deodorants which can cause
an irritation and rash, if this is the case you can
consult a pharmacy to suggest an anti-allergic
substance and get the message to him. In fact,
I think he is allergic so you may as well get the
required information before bringing the subject
to his attention. This is a very sensitive problem.
Good luck.

Give her a can of Lysol spray. Bad BO is caused by what you eat and drink, if she is a boozer, that will definatley cause bad BO along with fast food and junk food.

Buy a basket, fill it with goodies like deo's, perfumes, and some of those testers for perfumes and D.O's and maybe some good smelling flowers, and SEND IT TO HER.

If you don't want to offend her, just send it anonymous. Its a great gift for a good friend, and she's use the stuff. Plus, you won't feel guilty about her reaction if you told her.

buy her lots of smelly bath stuff, and body spray etc for her birthday or Christmas. Casually say that you know how important it is to smell as good as you look. If that doesn't do it come right out and tell her in the gentlest possible way - someone has to, and better to hear it from your good friend than your boss.

Tell her. She might be upset at first but explain that it could put the opposite sex off her, as BO is a really big turn off.
