Carpal tunnel syndrome. Before having the surgery go to a massage therapist that does Trigger point therapy. There are points on your body that relieve the pain, sometimes permanently. Good thing to try before surgery. You might also go to a book store or Library and check out a book on Trigger Point therapy. Try for a do it yourself type rather than a medical book.

The same way you treat carpal tunnel syndrome, you stop doing the activity that causes the symptoms. It's like the old old joke; 'Hey doc, it hurts when I do this.' and the doctor says, 'Don't do that'.
