Did you tell the Psych about the sleeping problems? Sounds like you are have a break thru with a type of manic at night that is interfering with your sleep. And did you tell them about your observation of anxiety since you are the best person to evaluation your level of "calm"?

Try going to bed at the same time seven days a week and getting up at the same time. Do not read in bed or watch TV, even during the day. Bed is for sleep and sex only when you have sleep disturbances. And realize that many of the new sleeping medications are for short term use and not addictive. Your doctor(s) would be the best one to tell you which and monitor your progress.

Remember honesty with everyone on your team is very important.

Benadryl (generic is diphenhydramine) is an OTC non-addictive sleep medication. It can make you sleepy the next day so you will have to see how it affects you.

Rozerem is a brand new prescription sleep medication that is non-addictive and approved for long term use.

Ask your doctor about these. I don't know your exact situation is and what drugs you are one so I can't make a solid recommendation. Call your doctor and ask him about Benadryl and Rozerem. See what he thinks.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
