This recipe says "cake", but it is more like a cobbler. Very easy to fix and delicious!!
Apple Pineapple Crumble Cake
Ingredients:
Can (approx. 20 oz.) of Apple Pie Filling
Can (approx. 20 oz.) crushed pineapple
Small can coconut (3.5 oz.)
White or Yellow Cake Mix (yellow is best)
2 sticks of margarine
Crushed pecans or walnuts (pecans are best)
Instructions:
In a lightly greased 9” x 11” pan, spread the apple pie filling in an even layer. Next, place the crushed pineapple (juice and all) as the next layer. Spread the coconut evenly over the two previous layers. Spread the dry cake mix (do not add anything to it at this point) as the next even layer. Melt 2 sticks of margarine in a sauce pan; pour and spread as evenly as possible on top of the cake mix layer. Finally, apply crushed pecans or walnuts (approx. 1 cup or more to taste) to the top. Place in a preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
