I had my nose pierced when I was a teeny bopper in 1982. I wore it for five straight yrs. Whenever I would take it out, it would always start to close. Sometimes it was like repiercing when I would put it back in. I had the piercing done with a gun at a tatoo parlor. The guy told me to keep the big earring in till it healed but I replaced it right away with baby earrings thinking it was smart to do to prevent a bigger hole with more scar tissue. Plus, the little jewels and gold stud looked lovely. Well he was right 'cuz that hole closed up eventually when I was working at a place that was too risky to get bumped in my nose so I left it out a lot. I was the first non-ethnic person around to have their nose pierced so there was nobody to ask advice. It was a radical thing to do, even in the Southern California punk scene. By the way, after the punks, the exotic lesbians caught on and now it's everywhere. I regret that it is closed. Sometimes I think about replacing it and when I see how common it is now, I get a bit jealous and think how I was the original one to start that trend. It's a funny response. I rarely wear earrings but I sure would like my nosering back. But I remember the problems with it: while sleeping, it would get snagged on a blanket and it would hurt! Also, they way it would close even after wearing it for a long time. I would use oragel to numb it for repiercing. Not fun! My gosh, I was forced by my big sister to have my ears pierced when the gun was new in the 70's. 30 yrs. later I still have holes and I rarely wore earrings. I never had an infection like you have and if ever I had a cold, it was never a problem. I'd say you definitely will have scar tissue, as small as mine was, I still feel the scar tissue and can see the spot where it was pierced. I think you need to go to the doctor. Also I don't really get the whole gauge deal but I think it would be best to let it heal up and start all over again. If you can't go to the dr., keep it clean and don't pick at it! Some cleansers are too strong for open skin wounds so be careful.

She's obviously interested if she pulled you to the side as she was leaving. Call her up and open the conversation about Sat night but don't really say anything about it at first. Just, "Man was I drunk Sat". If she cares, she will say something about it and you can go from there. Best of luck to you.

Ya know, you've got nothing to loose at this point. Call her and try making contact. If you've made an *** out of yourself, then it's time to change that view back to what she saw the first time, which is probably why she kissed you. Perhaps getting totally hammered may be a thing of the past?
Good luck.

well honestly to me a guy who is really really drunk is such a turn off! but i also do under stand that it does happen once in a while to all of us. (to some more than others tho) well if she really does like you then she will get over it you know. just talk to her and tell her that you know that you had way too much to drink that night and feel like a fool like you said and then ask her not to judge you by that one night, but to go out with you sans alcohol and give you a try.good luck!

if she's interested in you, there will be a next time. next time, just don't drink so much. at least she didn't tell you off and storm out of the party. hehe but she probably knows you like her.
just be cool the next time you see her and sometime interject a "sorry i got so smashed that night". no biggie. the more comfortable you act with everything, the better things will be.

You go up to her and say sorry for having so much to drink, that you're not normally like that (hope your not a p.head!), and that you would like to take her out. Simple. She'll say yes ,you go out have a great time and she'll see you again if you stay relatively sober. Girls really don't like guys drunk - trust me.

Maybe you should call her and explain that your drunkeness is not your usual behavior, and that you are sorry if it made her uncomfortable, ask if you can start over, and invite her out for coffee

if you're willing to change the reason for the behavior-you might have a chance; call and apologize..see if you can get a second chance to make a first impression...good luck
