I am about to take a certification test and I don't know which one is needed to be reviewed. Hopefully I passed. I know how to take vitals (except a tiny bit for B/P) , charting, feeding, changing briefs, a little bit of bed bath, transferring using a lift, nothing in nail care, & a bit in oral care. Any helpful hints are happily appreciated. Thanks!

Wash your hands before and after any patient contact. I am a nurse, but was a CNA while in nursing school. The testers usually watch for common sense actions, dont leave the bed in the high position, roll a patient towards you when possible, and always wash your hands......Hope that helps, and PLEASE practice taking vital signs, I rely on my CNA's to do this everyday, it is sometimes a life or death situation and accuate vitals are critical.

i'm sorry i comprehend how you sense. when I took biology I were given a C and it truly made me ask your self if nursing replaced into for me or no longer, i determined that I nevertheless opt to be an RN because i opt to help human beings, i opt to actively be an element in improving the lives of others, i like the medical field, i'm a demanding worker, and scrubs are truly attractive haha:) i'm about to take my CNA exam in about a month and that i'm truly apprehensive. I in basic terms want you to carry close that I somewhat have felt stupid and valueless before, and prefer i'm no longer smart sufficient to be a nurse. i am going to shop attempting my toughest at each and every thing I do and if I somewhat ought to i am going to retake instructions to get right into a nursing application. solid success to you I wager you'd be a astonishing nurse :)

when i took my test there was a written part and a skills part where you acted out various skills out on a real person...the written was the hardest but i passed the first time with flying colors the main parts to remember are, knock before entering, introduce yourself and explain what you are gonna do, provide privacy, wash your hand before and after you do what you are gonna do, adjust bed level, and you should have it

PRIVACY!!! If you work in long term care facility, state surveyors will look for that. Also, time management. Hand washing is a biggie too. Proper body mechanics, and SAFETY!! Good Luck!! :o)

My wife got her cna license, and said its mainly hands on here. They mainly watch your routine, then rate you on it. Which that is here, they did not take a paper test. It was all hangs on. So if you got it down, you should pass.
