i am a christian..
Yes, is the answer, sadly but yes.
Most "christians" are selective to what rules they want to follow, what is in the bible, whats false, what is true, what is wrong, and right. Notice i put christians in quotes...because it is my belief, that those really aren't Christians. yeah, i do wrong stuff in God's eyes, i anknowlege its wrong and ask for, forgivness.
These Christians whom you speak up, don't. They don't anknowlege what they are doing is wrong, or they say, well "i don't believe that part of the bible" To me thats not being a christian. A Chrisitan is someone who believes in Jesus Christ, dieing on the cross, and follows Jesus' teaching, and gospel message the best they can, not picking and chosing what is right and wrong. This is why so many people here don't believe in Christinity is because people like that, give it a bad name.

Absolutely. That's why there are so many denominations. I personally don't agree with the second commandment, that is the " keeping the Sabbath Day holy " or " no working on a Saturday ".
Yes, in theory, if everyone took Saturday off, the world would be a happier place. But, there are things that could happen on a Saturday that need to be taken care of that day. Imagine all the stores and hospitals were closed on Saturday.

No. The ten commandments that were given by God still stand, along with the main commandment given us by Christ, which is 'love one another,as I have loved you.' if people pick and choose which ones to follow, then they cannot be called Christians. If a believer is filled with the Holy Ghost, then the desire to hold all of God's laws and instruction becomes automatic. Few people realize this because few people truly seek the kingdom of God, which must be done in the Spirit. You MUST be filled with the Holy Ghost as Jesus instructed His disciples in the book of Acts. Not many people bother to try hard enough to achieve this. Hence the problem.

In Christianity the Bible is the authority. We should not be selective, because Christ was not selective. In the same sense a judge is not selective with the laws for his/her nation/state/county, so we should not be selective with laws either.

What do you mean by religious code? Born Again Christians believe that we must strive to keep all of Christ's commandments for He said if you love Me you will keep My commandments.
"Keep my commandments" was found 2 times in 2 verses in the New Testament.
John 14:15 - If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 15:10 - If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Consider that Christ instructed the wealthy man to give up all that he had and follow. When is the last time you heard that as a main focus? Somehow that has been completely lost as the new emphasis turns to issues such as homosexuality and abortion.

No, not at all. They all eat kosher/halal and marry their deceased brother's wife. They live the bible to the fullest. ;-)
