how do you keep hats from stinking?

how often do you wash your hats?
cap? knit hat?

i find that everytime i wear a hat for a day, it will stink at the end of the day
but i am positive that the hat is clean and my head is clean

spray with FEBREEZE at the end of the day and let it air out over night.

I know this might sound weird but at night, or if you can, during the day, put a dryer sheet in it. These things work miracles with stinky things. I keep 2 or 3 in my trash can and it soaks in all the bad smell. If you wear your hat all day you could fold one up in it and keep one in at night too.
If you dont want to try that, I would definitely recommend febreeze.

Your head sweats, and having a hat on all day causes odor. You need to let your head breathe at some point during the day.

I wash them when they get dirty.

You could try spraying them with Fabrese, that might work.

And to think of it, our socks are washed after each wearing so perhaps our hats should be washed too.

dont put them on a wet head all day and if you like weraing your hair wet take your hat off for a while or you could just wash it more than you wear it

It's due to the weather. no matter what i will still wash it once after each use. A matter of hygiene. =)
