tell mom and dad you will be responsible for the cat you get and will clean and feed it and be good with it and only say things you will do for the cat and most of all be nice to your parents and maybe you will get your pet
thank you

Maybe that means they are thinking about it. Don't keep asking them, take a break and if they don't come to you with in an answer in the next couple of weeks...then you come to them again. Let them know how low maintenance a Cat can be, and that you'll be a good caregiver while it's still a kitten. Show yourself responsibile in other areas as well. Hope everything works out for the best!

If you can show them that you can be responsible about taking care of the kitten, they might be more inclined to say yes. But keep in mind too why you had to give your old cat away. Repeats of such scenes aren't that much fun.

Are you getting good grades? Are you not a juvenile delinquent? Did you take good care of your other cat?

Got the cash saved up? Immunized the kitten, deworm it. Proper litter box cash savings? Large enough housing for a kittten turning cat. Have cash for it to be neutered/fixed? Cash for toys?

Time to spend with kitten?

If you disagreed with any answers stop thinking of getting a new kitten!

Take them to the Humane Society just to look and see what kinds of kittens are there. Tell them I just want to look not adopt. I'll bet they will fall in love with one and take it home for you.
