98.6 is the average "normal" temperature. There are some people with a naturally high temperature... some people can have a normal of 99.6. Some people have a naturally low temperature. If your worried about your temperature. Take your temperature when your feeling well. Whatever it is when your not sick, if it is consistent (the same everytime you take it), then thats your individual normal.

should be 98 degrees Fahrenheit. give or take a degree occasionally

The avg is 98.6 Degree F, however my whole family is 96.7 and has been for several generations. Dont know why... its genetic.
